Masterbows for all Stringed instruments

Horst Schickerīs bows are completely hand-made with the utmost of precision and care. This is guaranteed by my signature on every bow. The roots of my craft as a bow-maker were virtually laid to me in the cradle by growing up in, the so called "Bohemian Music Area", Fassattengrün near Eger, Czech Republic. I did my schooling and apprnticeship in Bubenreuth which is the main centre for string-instrument building in Germany. After working for many years as an apprentice, I passed the examinations to become a master bow builder, certified through the Chamber of Commerce in Nürnberg, Germany. I founded my own bow building company in 1971. I have been an honorary Member of the bow builders examination Board in Erlangen, Germany since 1980.
